Welcome! I’m glad you’re here. My name is Rebecca Walden, and I’m a freelance writer with Deep South roots – an Alabama native happily transplanted in north Texas.
When writing for fun (the best reason of all), I do it in those rare in-between moments, when the stars align and there is enough mental energy and household quiet time to sit down with my laptop and see what springs forth.
When writing for others (clients who know what they want are the best clients ever), I take deadlines and project scope seriously.
Contributing writer credits include Reader’s Digest, Southern Living, Taste of Home, regional, and local publications. I also work with a variety of corporate, small business, and non-profit clients on a full range of projects.
I deliver content with the intent of wowing those who hired me because:
a) I’m an attentive listener, and I “get” the mission, even its more abstract details, and
b) The ultimate compliment in this line of work is a self-referral; I’m fortunate to receive them often, and they have opened more doors than I ever thought possible.
Note to PR reps: you are welcome to pitch me here (I’ve been in your shoes and I know that it’s hard work); if I haven’t responded to you within 24 hours, feel free to pitch the story elsewhere.
For anyone else who stumbles across this humble little site of mine, I hope you enjoy what you find! It’s my collection of personal musings on the topics closest to my heart – emphasis on health, wellness, and food.
Thanks for visiting!
